By early 1997 reports of scarcity in commercial domain names began to proliferate. I found it hard to believe that folks couldn't come up with a .com address that made sense so for my own recreation and amusement I began searching the availability of domain names I considered worth owning. It didn't take long to catch the "fever". I've picked up over 10 domain names for my company's electronic publishing enterprises and even a couple personal ones for myself. I've turned this exercise into a game I play often, particularly when I'm reading periodicals or watching television and find myself inspired by something I hear or read. I now have a collection of domain names categorized by a variety of subjects. Believe me. There are plenty of good .com addresses available.
