While
most of us enjoy talking about ourselves, the hardest part in being an
independent consultant is self-promotion. When you venture out on your
own, you may find you have to do a little bit of everything to survive.
The upside is that you acquire expertise in areas you might not otherwise
pursue. The downside is that you rarely work less than 60 hours or less
than six days a week. Following are some highlights I hope you are able
to pick up from the glimpses of my career that I've provided in this section:
