Travel Resources
One of my favorite pastimes is traveling
throughout North America. I've had a close affinity with the travel industry
for
years. I use a multitude of travel resources to
make sure my trips are as enjoyable and safe as possible. Here is where
you will find links to some of my favorites.
Airlines
American
Airlines
I've been an American Airlines customer since
1971. I still have a copy of the first ticket I bought. It's not only
because I have a thing for "Red, White, and Blue" that I prefer to fly
American. As you've picked up from my web, I'm an adventure kinda gal
and everytime I fly American, I can be assured of an adventure! I don't
remember one flight that was on time. Perhaps its because of the time
of year I do most of my flying or that I almost always have to be routed
through DFW, American's hub.
Southwest
Airlines
Affectionately called the
"cattle car" by its frequent flyers, this is no doubt the top airline
to fly if you're looking for a good time in the air. For years,
I avoided flying Southwest because of the "no assigned seating" policy
but in the early 80's I found myself having to commute to Los Angeles
quite often and this airline offered schedules and pricing that couldn't
be beat. It is truly the "people's airline". You can't help but
make new friends in flight. Try it sometime.
U.S.
Travel Guide
When I travel by auto, I like to pick up the coupon booklets published
by U.S. Travel Guide. They contain all kinds of savings on accommodations.
Fortunately, this guide is on the web so I can download coupons whenever
I need them. In the past I had to search out restaurants that distrbuted
them.
